WHAT IS THE AFDP

The AFDP (or Asian Football Development Project) in Zaatari has created "a women's football project". It allows many young girls to meet, every afternoon, on a football field, with the supervision and coaching of refugee women.
This project aims to fight against the isolation of children. It also deals with the radicalization, forced work and early marriages of minors.
Today, the AFDP trains more than 1,000 girls. It partnered with organizations such as the Spanish Liga or UEFA, reinforcing its help and impact among the refugees. For the first time since the start of the Syrian exile, the number of forced marriages declined.
