PUT AN END TO LOCKDOWN
The travelling of refugee girls and young women inside and outside of the camp is highly regulated. Staying in the camp exposes the girls to many risks. From the age of 13, they are threatened by prostitution and forced into marriage or work. The only way for the girls to emancipate themselves is by raising awareness. For years, the Asian Football Development Project (AFDP) has played a crucial role in this context. The program aims to develop the girls' self-confidence and empowerment through football. The young girls keep their cheerfulness and learn about ambition, resilience and hope.

OBJECTIVES
Engage young girls in physical activities
Learn about life skills such as resilience, respect, hygiene, and solidarity
Discover other passions like drawing, dancing, or even learning different languages (English, French)
Encourage the girls to go to school
Understand their self worth and gain ambition for the future
Avoid early marriages, prostitution and forced labour
"WE ARE ALSO UNDER LOCKDOWN. IT IS LIKE LIVING THROUGH A DOUBLE CONFINEMENT. WE CAN'T GO TO THE FOOTBALL FIELD ANYMORE. IT IS VERY DEPRESSING. WITHOUT MY FRIENDS, I LOST THE MOTIVATION TO WORK, DRAW, AND DO SPORT."
